Illustrations
I've always had a real interest in illustration so when a project crops up that requires this kind of imagery I'm only too happy to crack out the crayons. Illustration is the new black and is everywhere we look now from advertising to annual reports. Shown are a selection of projects that I've designed and illustrated.
Computer generated illustrations such as those created for the book covers and point of sale posters are still 'hand drawn' and completely original - no Photoshop filters or clipart images (shudder) are used here. It simply means that instead of a pencil I used a mouse to get my ideas down on screen. This technique is particularly useful if the artwork needs to be used at various sizes, such as scaled up to the size of a shop window. But just because something is created on a computer doesn't mean it can't have charm and personality, the festive characters each had their own set of 'dangly' legs and feet. An idea that originated from my paper mock-ups and bits of knotted string.
