Showing these tactile qualities in a 2D medium was the challenge. Recreating paper effects digitally wasn't appropriate, as this wouldn't promote paper but suggest that paper can be replaced. And so a series of models were created that even though viewed in a digital medium have a distinct handmade quality. No smoke and mirrors, just a lot of cutting, folding and glueing.
